October 9, 2014

"Modern Vintage", the new album from SIXX: A.M., the band featuring MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx alongside guitarist DJ Ashba and vocalist James Michael, is likely to sell between 15,000 and 18,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to industry web site Hits Daily Double. The estimate was based on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores on October 7 via Eleven Seven Music. The chart will be unveiled on Wednesday, October 15.

SIXX: A.M.'s sophomore album, "This Is Gonna Hurt", sold 30,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in May 2011 to land at position No. 10 on The Billboard 200 chart.

SIXX: A.M. celebrated the "Modern Vintage" release by playing its first live show since 2009 Tuesday night (October 7) at iHeart Radio Theater in Los Angeles in front of an intimate crowd, hosted by Trey Morgan from 98.7, L.A.'s alternative radio and in partnership with iHeartRadio Live. The big announcement at the event was that SIXX: A.M. will embark on its first-ever headline tour in 2015, playing a limited number of dates across North America with special guest APOCALYPTICA.

Says Sixx: "Fans have been asking for years, 'When is SIXX: A.M. gonna tour?' and we've finally announced our first headline tour.

"We can't wait to play these songs live and put on a rock extravaganza for our fans.

"We're excited to announce that we're bringing along APOCALYPTICA as special guest because we are fans of their music and think this is going to be an amazing night of music from beginning to end."

Joining Sixx, Ashba and Michael on the road will be drummer Jeff Fabb (IN THIS MOMENT, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, FILTER),who also played on "Modern Vintage".

Says Michael: "For three records now, we have been envisioning what a SIXX: A.M. headline tour would look and feel like. We are so excited to finally be bringing these songs to life." Ashba adds: "Over the years, we feel we have taken our fans on some pretty incredible and diverse musical journeys. However, they have only been able to experience half of our vision. For the first time, we are going to present a visual journey to go along with the music. This tour will be something you won't want to miss. This will be the ultimate SIXX: A.M. experience."
