SIRENIA Forced To Cancel GODZZFEST Appearance

September 29, 2007

Norwegian/Danish gothic metal band SIRENIA has issued the following update:

"It is with a great deal of frustration and disappointment that we announce that our scheduled show at Godzzfest [taking place September 28-29 at Godset in Kolding, Denmark] will not happen. Due to storms and bad weather in the south of Norway and north of Denmark all sailings with Masterferries and Colorline were cancelled. As we were informed about this only two hours prior to our schedualed sailing Saturday morning, it became impossible for us to make it to Kolding in time for the festival. We have tried absolutely every alternative way to get there in time, but without success. No flights were available on such short notice, and no other way would get us there in time. Although this is circumstances beyond our control we would like to extend our deepest apologies to our fans and friends in Denmark as well as the Godzzfest organisation. We hope to make it up to you soon."

SIRENIA's new album, "Nine Destinies and a Downfall", entered the German Media Control chart in March at position No. 54. The album was recorded at Jailhouse studios in Norway with engineer Hans Eidsgard and Soundsuite studios in France with Terje Refsnes and was mixed and mastered at Antfarm studios in Aarhus, Denmark with Tue Madsen.

SIRENIA's video for the song "The Other Side" has been posted online at YouTube.com. The clip was helmed by the renowed Serbian production company I-Code (DEATHSTARS, HAMMERFALL, BLIND GUARDIAN, SCAR SYMMETRY),which previously worked with the group on the "My Mind's Eye" video (which can be viewed below).
