SIGHT OF EMPTINESS To Support OBITUARY In Costa Rica

November 18, 2010

Costa Rica-based melodic extreme metal band SIGHT OF EMPTINESS will support OBITUARY on November 23 at Peppers Club in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Commented SIGHT OF EMPTINESS singer Eduardo Chacón: "Playing with OBITUARY in our home country makes me feel so happy, because John Tardy was one of the first death metal singers who really impressed me when I was a little kid. His style is unique and that did motivate me back in the day to start trying out different techniques. Plus, Ralph Santolla [guitar] is coming with them, so it can't go wrong; he adds his own signature and awesome shredding skills."

This is not be the first time SIGHT OF EMPTINESS was chosen to be the opening act for an international act in Costa Rica. They were previously handpicked by MEGADETH, DARK TRANQUILLITY and AMON AMARTH to open their shows in the country. In addition, they shared stages with such bands as LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, TESTAMENT, FIREWIND and SABBAT (featuring Andy Sneap, producer of the latest MEGADETH album, "Endgame").

"Burning Silence", the new video from SIGHT OF EMPTINESS, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed on May 9, 2010 when SIGHT OF EMPTINESS supported MEGADETH in front of 15,000 metalheads at Autodromo La Guacima in San Jose, Costa Rica.
