February 1, 2010

Fan-filmed video footage of New York hardcore legends SICK OF IT ALL performing their 1994 classic "Scratch The Surface" on January 25, 2010 in Milan, Italy can be viewed below. Also appearing on the bill was headliner DROPKICK MURPHYS.

Photos of the concert at the sold-out Alcatraz Club are available on the news blog Musica Metal.

According to Musica Metal, SICK OF IT ALL played one song from its upcoming album, "Based On A True Story", which is described as "heavy like SLAYER... but with more aggression!"

SICK OF IT ALL's new album,"Based On A True Story", is scheduled for release on April 20 via Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Death To Tyrants" was recorded Antfarm Studios in Århus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen (HALFORD, BEHEMOTH, KATAKLYSM, THE HAUNTED).

Regarding the direction of the new material, SICK OF IT ALL singer Lou Koller told the LimeWire Music Blog, "It's typical us. It's a mixture of what we love — old-school sing-along Oi! music mixed with modern hardcore. That's what we do."
