SHINEDOWN Frontman On BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG: 'I Wish Him Luck'

SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith knows what it's like to face personal demons, so when The Pulse Of Radio had him in the studio recently, they asked the singer for his view on GREEN DAY frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, who went into rehab last fall after a meltdown at a festival in Las Vegas. Smith, who had followed Armstrong's story, told The Pulse Of Radio his thoughts. "I think that he was probably mentally and physically exhausted, and I think he just lost control for a moment," he said. "I've been there. But he's taking care of himself and it seems like he has a really great family and a lot of people that support him, so I wish him luck. At the end of the day, though, you're responsible for yourself. You've got to find out whatever is bothering you and try and do your best to fix it."

GREEN DAY announced last week that it had rescheduled 11 of the tour dates it canceled for the fall and winter after Armstrong entered rehab.

The band's tour will kick off on March 28 in Chicago as they resume promoting their three new albums, "Uno!", "Dos!" and "Tre!".

SHINEDOWN and THREE DAYS GRACE will kick off a co-headlining trek on February 1 in Moline, Illinois, with shows confirmed through March 30 in Fargo, North Dakota.

THREE DAYS GRACE is supporting its fourth album, "Transit Of Venus", with SHINEDOWN also promoting its fourth release, "Amaryllis".
