SHAITAN MAZAR Confirmed For South Carolina's SMACKY AWARDS

SHAITAN MAZAR, the new band featuring former NILE members Chief Spires (bass, vocals) and John Ehlers (guitar),have been confirmed for the first annual Smacky Awards show on July 16 at Ground Zero in Spartanburg, SC. For more details, click here.

In other news, SHAITAN MAZAR are continuing work on their new release, tentatively due later in the year. "We have now completed the guitar and bass tracks for the new CD," the band write on their web site. "We have really taken our time on this recording, and the end results will be worth the wait. We are very proud of the new material, and SHAITAN MAZAR fans will not be disappointed."

Also on the SHAITAN MAZAR-related front, "We will be shooting two videos for the upcoming release," the band write. "The first video will be for the song 'Homage', and we will be working with director Timi Brennen. Timi is a very talented local movie writer/director. For more info on Timi visit Habitual Ritual. We may need some heads to come hang out with us for a day and put your metal asses in a video. Plans for this are in the early stages."
