SHAI HULUD To Release METAL BLADE Debut In Early 2007

August 19, 2006

SHAI HULUD is back together and has recently signed a deal with Metal Blade Records. The band is about to hit the road for a string of dates in Europe with PARKWAY DRIVE and REMEMBERING NEVER. Shortly after SHAI HULUD returns to the States, they will head out with DEAD TO FALL, TWELVE TRIBES, and labelmates PHOENIX MOURNING for the "Call No Man Happy Who Is Not Dead Tour", sponsored by PureVolume, LambGoat and Metal Maniacs. Once the band is done touring, they will spend the winter months writing material for their Metal Blade debut, which will be out in the spring/summer 2007.

Commented SHAI HULUD's Matt Fox: "Having been intensely fanatic about the majority of their bands (yes, even THE GOO GOO DOLLS, but more so CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER) for upwards of 20 years, we are honored to be welcomed to their family. Like I told the label, Metal Blade may very well be more responsible for raising me than my mother. Sorry Mom, but you must admit I spent quite a lot of time with SLAYER and VOIVOD in those formative years...

"We plan on spending this coming winter writing for our Metal Blade debut. This summer, in case those interested aren't aware, we are touring Europe with our pals in REMEMBERING NEVER and PARKWAY DRIVE. We follow that up with two three-week jaunts in the States with yet more pals of ours; the first three weeks we'll be out with DEAD TO FALL and PHOENIX MOURNING. The second three weeks 100 DEMONS picks up where DEAD TO FALL leaves off, and Iowa's premier bodybuilders IGNITE THE WILL join us for select dates. TWELVE TRIBES and ONE DEAD THREE WOUNDED will be rocking the tour all six weeks. All in all, that's not such a bad way to spend some time. We're more than happy to worsen our hearing with such quality noise. We're definitely too old. Turn it down!"
