SHADOWS FALL's Jason Bittner was presented with awards for Best Metal Drummer and Best Recorded Performance for "The War Within" from Modern Drummer magazine at the Modern Drummer Festival this past weekend in Newark, NJ. Jason's presentation at the festival included him playing along to four SHADOWS FALL songs on stage as well as a lesson in double-bass drumming and a question and answer period from the stage.

Commented Bittner: "Modern Drummer Fest was the one of most amazing weekends of my entire life. It was a wonderful thing to start as an attendee and finally finish as an artist. Thanks to all the attendees and everyone at Modern Drummer for making a dream come true."
