SEVENDUST guitarist John Connolly has defended his band's portrayal of former COAL CHAMBER and current DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara as a despicable human being in their new single "Enemy" (which is dedicated to Farara), telling The Underground Scene that, "Dez is just a piece of shit. He's just one of those people where, he's basically a bad person. There's good people and bad people in this world, and he's just… He wants to be a good person and he wants to act like a good person, but he's really just a bad dude and he's just looking out for himself. It was something [SEVENDUST drummer] Morgan [Rose] got inspired to write about, and he teed off on him a little bit, but Dez knows what he did, and he's a lying, stealing motherfucker pretty much."
