SERENITY Cancels Dutch Shows

October 10, 2012

Austrian symphonic melodic metallers SERENITY have released the following statement:

"SERENITY wants to inform you that we had to cancel all shows for November/December 2012 in the Netherlands as support to the dutch band DELAIN.

"Please believe us that this was a really hard decision for all of us as there is no worse case scenario than cancelling a show.

"But to keep close to our tight time schedule for the upcoming album there — disappointingly — was no other way as release dates are already fixed. More on that very soon...

"In conjunction with the release of the next album, we will tour all over Europe again. PROMISED... Also therefor a lot of dates are already fixed and we will release all info as soon as ALL DATES are fixed.

"We know that a lot of people have been looking forward to our shows with DELAIN. We will do everything to give you a new chance to see us. So please keep close to our website and our facebook channel as we announce tourdates for 2013 in the coming months."

The Age Of Metal conducted an interview with SERENITY before their September 14 performance at the ProgPower USA XIII festival in Atlanta, Georgia. You can now watch the chat below.

SERENITY's third album, "Death & Legacy", was released in February 2011 via Napalm Records. The CD was produced by Oliver Philipps, Jan Vacik, Thomas Buchberger and Georg Neuhauser and it features guest appearances by Ailyn (SIRENIA),Amanda Somerville (AVANTASIA, EPICA, KISKE/SOMERVILLE) and Charlotte Wessels (DELAIN). The album was mixed and mastered by Jan Vacik at Dreamsound Studios in Munich, Germany. The artwork was created by Stefan Heilemann (LEAVES' EYES, ATROCITY, SONS OF SEASONS) and it "represents the historical based concept dealing with famous characters such as Galileo Galilei, Sir Francis Drake, Marco Polo and many more," acording to the band. "An angel of of death holding the book of time, symbolizing their legacy."
