SENTENCED frontman Ville Laihiala has recorded a guest appearance on vocals for the new album from the Finnish hard rock/"glam" band NEGATIVE (web site), due this fall.

"It's good to break down musical barriers," Ville told the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti. "I mean, nobody expected me to guest on NEGATIVE's album. I don't take myself too seriously! I really don't give a shit if some 'true' metal fans get angry because of this guest appearance."

In related news, Ville's side-project POISONBLACK will enter the studio tomorrow (April 2) to begin recording their second album, tentatively due in early October through Century Media Records. POISONBLACK's debut CD, "Escapextacy", was released in February 2003.
