SCORPIONS Will Not Perform At Mexico's BEER & MUSIC FEST

February 29, 2008

Veteran German hard rockers SCORPIONS have cancelled their planned appearance at the Beer & Music Fest in Mexico due to "logistical issues," according to the event organizers.

Beer & Music Fest is scheduled to take place March 15-16 in Coyuca de Benítez, Guerrero.

According to a posting on the SCORPIONS fan site ScorpsNews.com, the veteran hard rock band will play two mini-concerts in Germany on April 5: SAP Arena in Mannheim, and Rothaus Arena in Freiburg. The group will reportedly play three songs at each location on the same day.

"Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night To Remember - A Journey Through Time" DVD — which contains footage of SCORPIONS' concert at Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany on August 3, 2006 — was made avalable in North America on January 8 as an Internet-only release and cannot currently be found in stores, The SCORPIONS' management is still working on getting a U.S. distribution deal for the DVD.

"Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night To Remember - A Journey Through Time" includes the German hard rock band's historic performance at the festival during which they were joined by former bandmates Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Herman Rarebell.
