SCORPIONS Guitarist Reportedly Injures Leg At Clermont Concert

December 2, 2007

According to a posting on the SCORPIONS fan site Scorps News, the band's guitarist Rudolf Schenker hurt his leg/ankle during the third song, "Love 'em or Leave 'em", of the group's set Friday night (November 30) in Clermont, France. Schenker reportedly finished the show while standing at the back of the stage protecting his injured leg.

Low-quality fan-filmed video footage of the Clermont concert can be found at YouTube.

SCORPIONS' concert at Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany on August 3, 2006 will be released on DVD in Europe on December 7 via Sony BMG Music Entertainment GmbH. A North American release date has not yet been announced. Entitled "Live At Wacken Open Air 2006: A Night To Remember - A Journey Through Time", the disc will include the German hard rock band's historic performance at the festival during which they were joined by former bandmates Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Herman Rarebell.
