January 30, 2011

German heavy/power metallers SCAVANGER will release their debut album, "Between The Devil And The Sea", in September via Rock It Up Records. The CD contains 12 tracks and features guest appearances by Axel Ritt (GRAVE DIGGER, DOMAIN) on guitar, Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL, ROUGH SILK) on keyboards, Carsten Lizard Schulz (EVIDENCE ONE, DOMAIN) on vocals and Tommy Vitaly (SEVEN GATES) on guitar. The cover artwork was designed by Steve Santana and can be viewed below.

SCAVANGER's sound will appeal to "fans of Teutonic heavy metal á la GRAVE DIGGER, STORMWITCH or TYRAN' PACE plus influences from IRON MAIDEN and the NWOBHM," according to a press release.

SCAVANGER previously released two demo CDs.
