SATYRICON Set American Release Date For 'Volcano'

January 13, 2004

Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON have set an April 6 U.S. release date through the Sony Music imprint EatUrMusic (run by SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Daron Malakian) for their latest CD, "Volcano".

"Volcano" was SATYRICON's first release for the Scandinavian branch of Capitol Records, which originally issued the CD in September 2002.

Although SATYRICON were previously reported to have secured a slot on the upcoming MORBID ANGEL North American tour, "nothing is confirmed yet," according to a posting at SATYRICON's web site. Other bands set to be appearing on the tour are SUFFOCATION and PREMONITIONS OF WAR.
