SATYRICON's latest effort, "Now, Diabolical", has entered the Norwegian album chart at position No. 2. View the whole chart at this location. The CD was released in most European countries on April 17 through Roadrunner Records. The U.S. release will follow on June 13 via Century Media.
"Now, Diabolical" is the follow-up to 2002's "Volcano", which received the Norwegian Grammy for "Best Metal Album", the Alarm Award for "Song Of The Year" (for track "Fuel For Hatred") plus "Metal Album Of The Year", and also the Oslo Award for "Best Overall Album". "Volcano" debuted at No. 4 on the Norwegian national album chart.
As previously reported, SATYRICON's video for their new single, "K.I.N.G." (mp3), has been posted online at this location (Windows Media). The clip was shot earlier in the month in London. "The cast was a gathering of some of the most bizarre people from London's underground club scene that were to inflict pain upon each other, themselves and the band," frontman Satyr told MTV.com. "The video has all the ingredients of a good rock and roll video and sets a new metal video standard for good photography and clever editing."
SATYRICON entered the national chart in their home country at position No. 7 with the "K.I.N.G." single.
