SARGATANAS REIGN Part Ways With Singer, Announce Replacement

April 16, 2004

Swedish death metallers SARGATANAS REIGN have parted ways with singer Magnus "Devo" Andersson (ex-MARDUK, CARDINAL SIN, DEAR MUTANT). "This decision was made as a group and there is no personal problems between us," the band write on their web site. "Devo will join us as a producer in the making of our forthcoming album which we will begin recording this summer. We wish Devo the best of luck in the future and thank him for the time that has past...."

Replacing Andersson in SARGATANAS REIGN's lineup will be a guy named Jonas Mattsson. The group's follow-up to their 2002 debut, "Euthanasia...Last Resort" (I Hate Records) is expected before the end of the year.
