SARAH BRIGHTMAN Comments On PAUL STANLEY Collaboration; Video Available

January 31, 2008

Soprano Sarah Brightman recently spoke to Julie Chen, co-anchor of CBS-TV's "The Early Show", about her duet with KISS frontman Paul Stanley, "I Will Be with You (Where the Lost Ones Go)", which appears on Brightman's new album, "Symphony" (Manhattan Records).

"With Paul, he was amazing," Brightman said. "And I had this sort of quite dark song with sort of operatic tendencies in it. And I just thought he would be great for this, and asked him, and he really wanted to do it, so that was it! So, there was always a connection between that and the rock thing and opera thing, which is great."

Interestingly, both Stanley and Brightman are "Phantom of the Opera" alums, with Brightman having originated the role of Christine Daae in the Andrew Lloyd Webber production, and Stanley having received rave reviews for his portrayal of "The Phantom" in the Toronto stage version.

"As a fan of Sarah's stage, recording and concert work, I was immediately intrigued with the potential of what our voices together might create," said Stanley. "We were both really pleased with how our duet turned out and performing live together is a real possibility."

Paul Stanley just completed a highly successful 2007, garnering over $2 million in sales for his art work distributed through Wentworth Galleries. Stanley is also slated to tour Australia and New Zealand with KISS in March of 2008, with possible Europe and U.S. dates to follow.
