SAMMY HAGAR's Family Is 'Too Happy' For Reality TV

August 18, 2015

The Pulse Of Radio reports that Sammy Hagar has been shopping a new reality show on his family but so far he hasn't gotten any takers. According to Hagar, networks haven't been biting on the sizzle reel he's been shopping. He told the St. Louis Dispatch: "The response I got was that there's no drama… How about that? We're too happy. It's disappointing in terms of doing the show, but it was also the biggest compliment I've ever had."

Despite not landing a network for the new reality show, Hagar has his hands full with another series, "Sammy Hagar's Rock 'N' Roll Road Trip", which is tentatively set to premiere on AXS TV this fall. Additionally, the rocker has a new book, "Are We Having Any Fun Yet?: The Cooking & Partying Handbook", due out this fall. He explained: "It's pretty much the manual for throwing a party and the culinary lifestyle I've had on the road my whole life… My grandfather was a chef, and my mom was a great cook. And I have all these chef friends, Emeril Lagasse and all these people that I hang out with and cook with and do charities with. So it's all about that. All my drink recipes from my different spirits; what to pair while eating and drinking. It's really fun."

Hagar's new band THE CIRCLE, which also features Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson, plays hits from Sammy's four decades of rock (MONTROSE, solo, VAN HALEN, THE WABORITAS, CHICKENFOOT) as well as classic tracks from the LED ZEPPELIN catalog.
