SAMMY HAGAR To Host 'Cabo Wabo Happy Hour' Radio Show

April 14, 2006

Sammy Hagar is set to host "Sammy's Cabo Wabo Happy Hour" radio show in classic "Cabo Wabo" party fashion in support of his upcoming "Livin' It Up" tour. Hagar, alongside radio veteran Tawn Mastrey and VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, will put on a show sure to entertain the most devout SAMMY HAGAR AND THE WABOS, VAN HALEN and MONTROSE fans.

While playing an array of party music ranging from the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, to mariachi bands and country tunes, Hagar and his accomplices will "drunk dial" old buddies including Kenny Chesney, Emeril Lagasse, Toby Keith and many more. Hagar and cronies will reminisce of crazy party days with VAN HALEN and make for what is certain to be a "rockin' good time" in support of his "Livin' It Up" amphitheatre tour. The "Cabo Wabo Happy Hour" will air on radio stations across the country starting in April.

As previously reported, Sammy Hagar will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Wednesday, May 10. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). Hagar's video for his new track "Sam I Am", taken from his upcoming album "Livin' It Up", has been posted online at this location.

Hagar has announced 26 dates as part of the "Livin' It Up" tour that get underway June 3 in Devore, California, and run through August 10 in Sturgis, South Dakota. According to Launch Radio Networks, he will pull double-duty on the trek — he'll do a full set with his band the WABORITAS, and he'll also perform VAN HALEN songs with WABOS guitarist Vic Johnson and drummer David Lauser and VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, who are collectively known as THE OTHER HALF.

Hagar is recreating the full-on Cabo Wabo experience at each tour stop, which will have a Cabo Wabo village with a bar, food vendors, mariachi bands, body builders, and of course, women in bikinis.
