SAMMY HAGAR Sings ALICE IN CHAINS With JERRY CANTRELL At 65th-Birthday Bash

October 18, 2012

Sammy Hagar (CHICKENFOOT, VAN HALEN, MONTROSE) was joined by ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell and VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum for a performance of the ALICE IN CHAINS classic "Man In The Box" on Saturday, October 13 at Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as part of Sammy's 65th birthday celebration. Check out fan-filmed video footage below.

ALICE IN CHAINS is currently working on the follow-up to 2009's gold-certified "Black Gives Way To Blue" for a 2013 release.

Hagar is continuing to record and tour with CHICKENFOOT, which also features ex-VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith.

That group has just reissued its gold-selling 2009 self-titled debut as a double-disc set. The new version features bonus live tracks recorded on the group's recent tour behind its sophomore studio effort, "III".
