SAMMY HAGAR Performs At NYC Firehouse Rally: Photos Available

May 20, 2003

Former VAN HALEN frontman Sammy Hagar performed at a free lunchtime rally and concert to save firehouses at Battery Park in New York City on Monday (May 19). Click here to see pictures taken during Hagar's performance.

The free concert was part of the continuing effort by city firefighters and the Uniformed Firefighters Association to educate New Yorkers about the looming public safety danger for civilians and firefighters if New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg goes ahead with his plan to close eight NYC firehouses in order to save only $11 million dollars out of the massive $44 billion city budget

Sammy Hagar's new live album, "Hallelujah" is due on May 29 through Sanctuary Records.
