'Sammy Hagar Day' Declared In Lowell

October 17, 2013

October 25 has been declared "Sammy Hagar Day" by the city of Lowell, Massachusetts in appreciation for the Hagar Family Foundation contribution to the local food bank, The Merrimack Valley Food Bank.

The Merrimack Valley Food Bank will receive a gift from the Hagar Family Foundation as part of the "Four Decades Of Rock" tour. Sammy is donating to local food banks in each U.S. city he visits and in celebration of National Food Day, there will be a gift of $5,000 presented to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.

If you plan to be at this concert on October 25, bring a canned good to the Tsongas Center box office and you'll receive $10 off your ticket!

As a child, Sammy knew what it was to feel hunger and is committed to preventing others from experiencing it by donating to food relief agencies like the Merrimack Valley Food Bank that has provided food for 60,000 individuals monthly through a network of food pantries in 32 communities in the region since 1991.
