RUNNING WILD Explain Festival Cancellations

June 16, 2004

RUNNING WILD frontman Rock'n'Rolf has issued the following statement regarding the group's withdrawal from the Rockwave (Greece) and Gates of Metal (Sweden) festivals this summer:

"Dear Fans,

"I am really sorry that I have to tell you that we had to cancel the shows in Athens (June 19) and in Sweden (July 31),but this is a direct consequence of the cancelling of our touring-agency All Access on the 13th of June.

"Since a longer time there was a problem growing concerning the communication between the band and All Access. So a lot of things were going wrong here and it came to a point where those 'misunderstandings' caused extensive problems.

"Concerning the Rockwave Festival came across an unclear cargo situation regarding the delivery of our backline, so that it was not possible to schedule a sufficient rehearsal-time to guarantee a 100% RUNNING WILD show for our appearance. So the risk became too high to let the shows end up at a point where it would not be of that quality RUNNING WILD stands for. And I don't think that you, the fans, would be pleased to see a show which would not be of the standard you deserve to receive from us.

"So I am really SORRY for all that, but there was no other way to go.

"The only thing that is left to say is, that we will go on with the work on the next album which will be released this year and that we have the plan to do a tour at the beginning of the next year which should take us also outside of Germany!

"I hope that this could be a small consolation to take away a part of your disappointment."
