ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS To Release 'Gotta Get Up Now' In January

November 14, 2010

ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS, the New York City-based based punk rock band featuring Roger Miret from AGNOSTIC FRONT, will release its fourth album, "Gotta Get Up Now", on January 25, 2011 via People Like You Records. The CD, which is described in a press release as "the band's most defining release to date. . . the culmination of punk, reggae, pub rock and hardcore influences teamed with a renewed energy and teeth," was produced by former DISASTERS and current STREET DOGS member Johnny Rioux.

A track from "Gotta Get Up Now" entitled "We're Gonna Find a Way" is available for streaming on the ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERSMySpace page. The song is said to be "a code of ethics set to music."

ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS represents an honesty rarely seen in music today — a sound which can only come straight from the heart of New York hardcore's most legendary frontman, a sound which can never be replicated or imitated, a sound which can only come from true life experiences.

The DISASTERS released their debut, self-titled album in 2002 and have been on tour ever since, spreading their message, the voice of true street punk and street rock 'n roll. This is a message for the people who are tired of the modern-day cliché of punk rock that has been pre-packaged and hand delivered. This is a message for the people who long to hear true, honest punk rock. From people who love it, listen to, and live it themselves!

A relentless tour schedule has kept THE DISASTERS living on the road for the past eight years. This hard work ethic has transferred itself into a solid fan base, further proving the band's honesty and integrity. They wouldn't have it any other way, THE DISASTERS have a strong belief in the idea that "fans are something you earn through hard work and dedication, they are just as much a part of the music as we are. It's that mutual respect and common ground that makes the music so honest for both the fans and for the band itself."

ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS is:

Roger Miret - Vocals
Rhys Kill - Guitar/Vocals
Randy Rost - Vocals/Guitar
Roy Valencia - Bass/Vocals
Pete Sosa - Drums
