ROB ZOMBIE Wants Fans To Dress As Killer For 'Halloween'

April 30, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports: Rob Zombie said on the MySpace page for his upcoming remake of "Halloween" that he wants all fans who come out to see the movie to dress as the film's masked serial killer, Michael Myers. Zombie wrote, "Imagine the shocked look on everyone's faces when the lobby is jammed with Michael maniacs! Show the world that Michael is back and ready to destroy!" The best part is that all one needs is an old, dark jumpsuit and a ragged-looking William Shatner mask — yes, that's what Myers wore in the original 1978 horror classic.

Zombie's take on "Halloween", which stars Malcolm McDowell of "A Clockwork Orange" as Dr. Loomis and "X-Men" mutant Tyler Mane as the adult version of Myers, opens on August 31.

The first trailer for the film hit Yahoo! Movies earlier this month.

Zombie's previous films were 2003's "House of 1000 Corpses" and 2005's "The Devil's Rejects".

Meanwhile, Zombie's first-ever live album is scheduled for release in August. The CD was recorded at several shows on last year's "Educated Horses" tour and will include a 36-page deluxe booklet of never-before-seen live pictures plus a DVD.
