JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford has issued the following update:"Just letting you know that Metal God Entertainment is about to announce my U.S. and Japan partners soon. Both territories are scheduling 'Metal God Essentials – Volume 1' for September release. "The industry is much more scaled-down than in prior years. We took our time with the process; holding discussions with nearly every major, indie and a certain music channel regarding Metal God Entertainment's future releases. With this process now over, everyone is working full-time to finish the new FIGHT film. It looks killer. More news on that soon. "I'm off to work with PRIEST shortly. Look forward to catching up with everyone in September." Halford's Metal God Entertainment recently signed Canadian and Australian/New Zealand distribution deals with Fusion 3 and Riot! Entertainment, respectively. The first release under the agreement was "Metal God Essentials - Volume 1", which came out in July. "Metal God Essentials - Volume 1" features thirteen tracks from Rob Halford's FIGHT and HALFORD solo releases. The HALFORD band's first new songs in more than four years, "Forgotten Generation" and "Drop Out", are also featured, as is an exclusive 2007 remix from producer Attie Bauw, "Resistance Canadian Mix" (available on the Canadian version only). Metal God Entertainment will also produce three new box sets for fall 2007/early 2008 release. The FIGHT and HALFORD box sets will feature a 5.1 DVD documentary and live concert performance, remastered audio releases, expanded booklet, rare and unreleased photos and liner notes.
