RIOT Recruit VIRGIN STEELE Drummer

RIOT have announced the addition of drummer Frank Gilchriest (VIRGIN STEELE) to the group's ranks.

"[When] RIOT was touring in Europe as the support act for VIRGIN STEELE in 1998, [guitarist] Mark [Reale] and the rest of the band, including [then-RIOT drummer Bobby] Jarzombek, watched Frank Gilchriest destroy the drums every night for 7 weeks," the group write on their web site. "As the band began to write some new songs for the new album, they know that a full-time drummer was needed, Frank is still with VIRGIN STEELE but has time to work with RIOT as well. Fans can expect RIOT to be playing live soon, more news to come and a live voice and text chat with some of the members T.B.A."
