RINGWORM College Radio Benefit Concert To Be Streamed This Weekend

February 29, 2008

Cleveland college radio station WJCU's recent heavy metal Radiothon benefit concerts will be streamed on YeboTV Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight EST (shown continuously to reach all time zones). The two concerts featured 12 of Cleveland's best original metal talent.

On Saturday, March 1, the concert featuring CELLBOUND, RINGWORM, NIGHTCRAWLER, DARK ARENA, VENOMIN JAMES and LICK THE BLADE filmed at the Beachland Ballroom on February 16 will be broadcast. This show also featured a surprise guest appearance by actor Sean Penn and U.S. congressman Dennis Kucinich, who dropped by unexpectedly and went on stage to introduce RINGWORM.

On Sunday, March 2, the concert featuring SOULLESS, GROUND ZERO, EMBALMER, THE SUEDE BROTHERS, MSOD and LOTUS PEDAL filmed at the Jigsaw Saloon on February 22 will be broadcast.

The two concerts raised just under $2,500 to help with the station's annual operating expenses.

WJCU is a non-profit, non-commercial college radio station operating out of John Carroll University.

Cleveland has been long regarded in the industry for being one of the best college radio markets in the world. In addition to WJCU, stations WCSB, WRUW and WBWC all have powerful signals and stream their daily programming worldwide on the net to an international listening audience.
