Nils Eriksson (bass) and Fredrik Mannberg (rhythm guitar) of NOCTURNAL RITES have reformed the band GUILLOTINE after a 10-year hiatus. Two newly recorded songs are available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.GUILLOTINE is currently writing songs for a new album and negotiating with record labels. The band's debut album, "Under the Guillotine", was released in 1997. In a 1998 interview with Chronicles of Chaos, Eriksson stated about GUILLOTINE, "GUILLOTINE plays music that is much more back to basics and rawer than NOCTURNAL RITES. It is so different. I feel that both bands are so far apart from what style and sound they deliver. It really isn't a task to be a part of both outfits. Making music is what I do and being in both bands keeps me busy. And when I'm busy, I'm one happy musician." (Thanks: Ades)
