Reunited FORBIDDEN: New Audio Interview Available

July 11, 2008

Russ Anderson (vocals) and Craig Locicero (guitar) of the reactivated San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal veterans FORBIDDEN were interviewed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (June 27-29) in Dessel, Belgium by "Whiplash", a weekly metal show on Belgian national radio Studio Brussel, hosted by AFTER ALL guitarist Dries Van Damme. Listen to the chat in streaming audio at this location.

Professionally filmed video footage of FORBIDDEN's June 28, 2008 performance at the Graspop Metal Meeting can be viewed below (clips uploaded by YouTube user "Sebastos1").

FORBIDDEN's setlist was as follows:

01. March Into Fire
02. Forbidden Evil
03. Off The Edge
04. Twisted Into Form
05. Follow Me
06. Through The Eyes Of Glass
07. Parting of the Ways/Infinite
08. Chalice Of Blood

As previously reported, FORBIDDEN tapped Mark Hernandez (HEATHEN, DEFIANCE, RE:IGNITION, VIO-LENCE, TORQUE, TECHNOCRACY, SOCIAL UNREST) to play the drums on the band's just-completed European tour. According to a press release, "Mark Hernandez is one of the most dynamic and solid drummers in hard rock/heavy metal today. His aggressive attack and technical ability shine. Mark has proven himself over and over from his time in one of the most respected thrash metal bands of all time, VIO-LENCE, and more recently with HEATHEN and the rebirth of DEFIANCE. Mark will be one of the most watched drummers in hard rock and heavy metal for years to come."

FORBIDDEN played several dates in February with special guest drummer Gene Hoglan (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, TESTAMENT, DEATH, DARK ANGEL).

FORBIDDEN is rumored to be in talks with Nuclear Blast Records about recording a new studio album for the label. The proposed deal would also include the release of a new full-length live album.

FORBIDDEN's last studio LP, "Green", was released in 1997 on the G.U.N. label.
