Report: TOMMY LEE To Launch Fashion Line

May 14, 2006

According to the New York Post, L.A. rag label People's Liberation has enlisted MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee to help create a limited-edition collection of denim, hooded sweatshirts and hats. Company owner Danny Guez is no stranger to questionable celebrity fashion collaborations: He co-owns the William Rast line with Justin Timberlake and J.T.'s best friend, Trace Ayala.

As previously reported, Tommy Lee is part of SUPERNOVA, an all-star band also featuring ex-METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted and former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Gilby Clarke, which will use the "Rock Star" TV program to search for a lead singer.

"Rock Star: Supernova", the second season of the CBS-TV reality series, will premiere on Wednesday, July 5 at 8 p.m. ET, according to Reality TV World. The show's second episode will air the following night (Thursday, July 6) before the series settles into its regular slots on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET and Wednesdays at 8.

First season co-hosts Dave Navarro of THE PANIC CHANNEL and Brooke Burke will both be back for the new season.

Half-hour "behind-the-scenes" episodes will be available for viewing on MSN.com's "Rock Star" webpage.

SUPERNOVA have been auditioning singers and writing songs as the show is being filmed. After the band find their vocalist, the foursome will head into the studio to record their debut album with songwriter-performer-producer Butch Walker while "Rock Star" is airing.
