Report: OZZY OSBOURNE Taken Off Ventilator

December 15, 2003

Ozzy Osbourne began breathing unaided following his near-fatal accident, according to Telegraph.co.uk.

The former BLACK SABBATH singer has been able to chat to wife Sharon this morning at the Berkshire hospital where he has been recovering since crashing his quad bike last Monday.

A statement from Wexham Park Hospital in Slough said Osbourne, whose "Changes" duet with daughter Kelly claimed the No. 1 spot in the U.K. last night, is now breathing independently.

Osbourne, 55, was placed on a ventilator when he underwent emergency surgery after breaking eight ribs and a collarbone and cracking a vertebra in his neck when he fell off the bike at his Buckinghamshire mansion.
