Report: IRON MAIDEN-Inspired Mural Undergoes 'Makeover'

A loyalist mural based on IRON MAIDEN album sleeve in Northern Ireland has been changed to a "cultural" design after parents and residents in the area complained that the mural was "scary" to children who walked past it every day to their school, according to Ross Smith of icNorthernIreland.

The wall outside Eden Primary School, Carrickfergus, previously sported a picture of a zombie carrying a UFF flag and stepping over IRA graves.

The image has been replaced by a picture of Carrickfergus Castle, framed by the emblems of the UDA and Ulster Young Militants.

William Cameron, chairman of the local branch of the UPRG, which is linked to the UDA, said the change was made after concerns were raised with the group.

He hit out at politicians who complained in the media rather than speaking to the group directly. He said: "Eden's a small village and most people in the village were happy with it, but some outsiders raised concerns."
