Replica Copy Of AXL ROSE's 'Paradise City' Jacket Sells For $5,350

May 8, 2013

A white leather jacket in the same style as the one worn by GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose in the band's video for the song "Paradise City" was sold at the end of March for $5,350 on eBay.

Only three copies of this jacket — the front of which features an embroidered design featuring GUNS N' ROSES' original lineup as the band appeared on its 1987 debut album, "Appetite For Destruction"; while the back contains the group's classic logo — are in existence: The first jacket made belongs to Rose, the second is on permanent display at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada; and the third jacket — the one that was auctioned on eBay — was given in appreciation to the designer/manufacturer of the GUNS N' ROSES tour merchandise, who kept it until recently.

The "Paradise City" video features performance clips from a GUNS N' ROSES tour stop at Giants Stadium in New Jersey with AEROSMITH.

Axl wore the same jacket at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert at Wembley Stadium in London, England in 1992.
