REKUIEM: New Dates Announced

REKUIEM (formerly REQUIEM),the cult NWOBHM band that was at the very start of the British metal movement alongside such names as DIAMOND HEAD and WITCHFINDER GENERAL, has lined up the following dates:

June 26 - Rock Cafe 2000, Stourbridge, West Midlands
June 27 - Sheldon Marquee (Chestnut Tree),Birmingham
June 28 - The British Rock And Metal Festival 2008, JB's, Dudley, West Midlands

The upcoming REKUIEM dates and the group's forthcoming studio album, "Raise the Dead", will feature singer Chitral "Chity" Somapala (ex-FIREWIND),who joined the band last year.

In 1980, REQUIEM issued its first and last single, the self-financed "Angel of Sin" on Sacrificial Records. The single was backed by "Sacrificial Wanderer" and was issued without a picture sleeve. It is now incredibly rare and somewhat of a collector's item for NWOBHM fanatics.

REKUIEM's debut album, "Time Will Tell", was released in 2006 via Majestic Rock.
