RAMMSTEIN To Tour North America In May

February 16, 2011

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN will bring their epic live show to nine cities in North America throughout the month of May. The Berlin-based six-piece band, who immediately sold out two exclusive performances last December at the Bell Centre in Montreal and the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City, has not toured in North America since 2001.

Tickets for tour, produced by Live Nation, will go on sale to the general public Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26 and are available at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

"The success of the RAMMSTEIN song 'Du Hast' in the U.S. was certainly one of the essential steps in our career," commented drummer Christoph Schneider.

"We have waited 10 long years for the perfect opportunity to bring our full show to North America. The time is now and we are excited to share this with our fans who have waited for so long," added guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe.

RAMMSTEIN began extensive touring last fall in support of "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da". Their formidable live show traversed Europe in twenty 18-wheelers packed with pyrotechnics, flame-throwers, bazookas and enough ordnance to level a small country. The band played to sold-out crowds in 10,000-plus seat venues, leading up to a summer filled with headlining slots on all the major European festivals. In the fall, the band then moved on to Latin America to play in some cities for the first time in its history. Now, after successfully touring Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa at the end of their extensive tour, RAMMSTEIN will give their North American fans a taste of their now-legendary live show.
