March 30, 2009

RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski will present his new instructional DVD, "School Of Metal", at the Musikmesse Frankfurt 2009 fair in Frankfurt, Germany on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ahead Musik booth (4.0 / D 84).

RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski has just released his first-ever instructional DVD, entitled "School Of Metal".

A description of the DVD reads as follows: "With the example of four songs, Victor leads you through the heroes history of metal guitar. Starting with the classic heavy metal รก la IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST, passing thrash metal in the style of early METALLICA, up to speed and progressive metal, you can find the best licks and riffs.

"You are taught the most important style elements of rhythm guitar: metal chords, downstrokes, harmonic riffing a.m.m. Furthermore, Victor shows you how to pimp your performance with slap technique and special effects.

"Nevertheless, you also discover, which secrets other great guitar heroes like John Petrucci, Dimebag Darrell and Paul Gilbert use to make their performances unforgetable.

"The DVD includes almost one and a half hours play time within play-along versions of the four examples. You recieve an instructional 32-page book with all the notes and tabs."
