RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's TOM MORELLO Jams Again With SPRINGSTEEN; Video Available

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello joined Bruce Springsteen and the E STREET BAND onstage Wednesday night (April 15) at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, just over a year after Morello first jammed with the Boss during Springsteen's April 2008 concerts in Anaheim, California. The pair once again belted out an electric version of Springsteen's "The Ghost of Tom Joad", with Morello firing up a blazing lead solo that brought the crowd of 18,000 to their feet. Morello told The Pulse of Radio that rocking out on a folk song like "Joad" has been an inspiration to him on his own recent live shows. "It really made me realize I can keep the integrity of the solo performance intact, and still shred my ass off," he said. "And bring the thing which I do best, which is, you know, play wild, electric guitar, and have that all be in one evening."

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE recorded its own version of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" for its 2000 covers album, "Renegades".

Morello has been inviting a slew of guests onstage at shows on his own recent Justice Tour, including SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Serj Tankian, Slash from VELVET REVOLVER, SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor and three former members of SOUNDGARDEN. The shows are half acoustic and half electric.

Profits from the shows go to homeless shelters, service organizations, charities and other advocacy groups.

Morello's second solo album as the NIGHTWATCHMAN, "The Fabled City", came out last fall.
