QUEENSRŸCHE Arrested At Amsterdam Airport For 'Smuggling Illegal Firearms'

June 11, 2006

According to a posting on QUEENSRŸCHE's official web site, the band was arrested today (June 11) at the Amsterdam airport for "smuggling illegal firearms!" Details are a bit sketchy at the moment, but word apparently came in from QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate himself. More information as it becomes available.

As previously reported, Rhino Records has set an August 29, 2006 release date for the reissue of QUEENSRŸCHE's 1999 effort, "Q2K". The remastered and expanded version of the album will be available August 29 at traditional physical and digital retail outlets and www.rhino.com for a suggested retail price of $18.98. The iTunes version of the album will also feature an exclusive video for "The Right Side of My Mind".

The re-released album contains remastered versions of all 11 original studio tracks and includes a pair of songs recorded during the "Q2K" sessions that have never been released before — "Until There Was You" and "Howl". Also included are different versions of two albums tracks: the radio edit of "Breakdown" and a live version of "Sacred Ground", recorded during the "Q2K" tour.
