QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE To Film 'In My Head' Video This Week

April 28, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE is shooting a video this week for its next single, "In My Head", and frontman Josh Homme has compared it to "Italian porno" in a new posting at the band's official website. Homme wrote, "From what I've been told, (the clip) will involve many examples of failed attempts to control your lust, and how there is no device that can fulfill or replace the object of obsession...now, to be honest, I don't know what that means, but it sounds like this Italian porno I saw once."

Homme described "In My Head" to Launch as a sort of love song about music itself: "It's a song born out of necessity. It's like a lovesick song, you know, when music becomes the only thing that you have. I think people can relate to that, because sometimes it's the intangible of music that is the only thing you can get a grip on."

Homme also posted that the band plans to tentatively release a DVD in November and wrote that it will include "lots and lots of extras and never-before-seen stupidity. Hopefully there'll be a shower scene." QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will begin a new round of North American tour dates on May 18 in Phoenix, Arizona, wrapping up on June 1 in Reno, Nevada.
