QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE: Entire HOVEFESTIVALEN Concert Available

July 2, 2007

Professionally filmed video footage of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's entire concert at the Hovefestivalen, a brand new five-day festival which was held June 25-29 on the island of Tromøy, just outside the city of Arendal in Norway, has been posted at this location (if video doesn't begin automatically, click on "Spill" below "QOTSA" in menu on right).

As previously reported, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE has expanded its upcoming "Duluth" tour to include a Canadian run as well as three additional U.S. shows in Bakersfield, California, Louisville, Kentucky, and Maplewood, Minnesota. The tour kicks off on July 22 in Costa Mesa, California and will visit less-traveled markets like Billings, Montana and, of course, Duluth, Minnesota. Following the end of this trek in early September, QUEENS frontman Josh Homme said he'd like to do something bigger next. "You know, I haven't heard of like a co-headlining tour in a long time, it seems like, where two bands of equal size go play, you know, together," he said. "I was thinking about it a couple of weeks ago, like, God, when was the last time I really saw that, you know? And so we're gonna actually look for someone to try to do something really cool like a four-band bill and co-headline with somebody."

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's new album, "Era Vulgaris", came out on June 12 and entered the Billboard chart last week at No. 14.
