QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Announce Touring Drummer

August 24, 2002

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE have recruited BLINKER THE STAR/SPOOKEY RUBEN drummer Kelli Scott to handle the drumming duties during the group's upcoming tour. The band's most recent drummer, Dave Grohl, had to pull out of the QOTSA tour to tend to his regular band, the FOO FIGHTERS.

As a result of this development, SPOOKEY and BLINKER have had to cancel dates in San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles, all of which were planned for mid-September. SPOOKEY will still appear at L.A.'s Hotel Café on August 25th and September 8th for his scheduled solo shows.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's much-anticipated new album, Songs For The Deaf, is set to be released on August 27th through Interscope Records.
