QUEEN Returns To 'American Idol' (Video)

April 26, 2012

On last night's (Wednesday, April 25) edition of "American Idol", the final six contestants paid tribute to the legendary British rock band QUEEN by performing a medley of some of the group's greatest hits — "Fat Bottomed Girls", "Another One Bites The Dust", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" — with QUEEN members Roger Taylor and Brian May. Video footage of the performance can be seen below.

As previousy reported, Taylor and May will play four shows with "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert in June and early July. On tap is a June 30 show in Moscow, a concert with Elton John in Kiev as well as two early July shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in London to provide "some alternative... for some of the people who had bought tickets" to the recently canceled Sonisphere festival, where QUEEN was supposed to be one of the headliners.
