PUDDLE OF MUDD Stick With Successful Formula On Sophomore CD

November 6, 2002

PUDDLE OF MUDD have no intentions of abandoning their hit-making sound for their forthcoming follow-up to last year's "Come Clean" CD.

"It's still packed full of passionate melodies — which is something I truly believe in — and melodies that people can sing along with," frontman Wes Scantlin told MTV.com about the newly-penned material. "The content of the lyrics is definitely coming from reality and a real place. And that's where I kind of write from — real-life situations. Even though we've sold umpteen million records, everybody thinks we're living it up and there's not a worry that we have in our lives, and that's just not true. We've all still got problems in our lives that we can get inspiration from."

The group's as-yet-untitled second album, which is being recorded in a Los Angeles rental house with producer John Kurzweg (who worked on all three CREED albums as well as much of "Come Clean"),is set to include the following cuts, among others:

01. Spin You Around
02. Away From Me
03. Cloud Nine
04. Never Coming Down
05. The Mountain

A late spring release through Flawless/Geffen is expected.
