PSYOPUS Sign With METAL BLADE RECORDS

Rochester, NY-based tech grindcore/hardcore outfit PSYOPUS have inked a deal with Metal Blade Records. "Negotiations have been in the works for awhile and we are extremely pleased to have come to an awesome agreement," the band write on their web site. "We are all looking forward to a long and exciting future with a label that has our utmost respect. We are also truly honored to be affiliated with such an amazing roster of bands and an awesome group of new family and friends."

PSYOPUS' "Ideas of Reference" album, which was issued earlier this year through Black Market Activities, has just been re-released via Sony/RED distribution.

In other news, PSYOPUS guitarist Christopher Arp, regional winner of the 2002 national LIMP BIZKIT talent search and winner of the 2003 regional Guitarmageddon contest, has officially been indorsed by Ibanez Guitars. "Chris has been playing Ibanez for years and loves his guitars and is really excited to be working with his favorite guitar company!" the group write on their web site. "Look out!! Now he's really going to start shreddin!"
