Producer ANDY SNEAP Lands Guitarist Gig With FOZZY!

January 16, 2002

Former SABBAT guitarist and acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap has joined FOZZY (featuring WWF wrestler Chris Jericho and ex-members of STUCK MOJO) under the stage name “Lord Edgar Bayden Powell”. Here is the band's official press release on the matter:

FOZZY is happy to announce the addition of England's greatest guitarist and medieval historian, Lord Edgar Bayden Powell, as the band's new third guitar player.

“After quitting SIR GALAHAD, due to the fact that he outranked the rest of the band, Powell auditioned for FOZZY, after the dismissal of original guitar player Chuck Berry (no relation). Berry was fired was various acts of public indecency and many more acts of private indecency. Rumors of bestiality and auto-asphyxiation haven't been confirmed.

"'Lord Bayden Powell is a legitimate guitar hero as well as owning a real suit of armour! I'm really looking forward to playing with him live, as well as trying on his armour...how metal is that!", said Moongoose McQueen, leader of the FOZZ and the most charasmatic frontman of all time.”

FOZZY has completed the recordings for their second album for Megaforce Records.

In other news, you can catch FOZZY live (featuring Sneap as Lord Edgar Bayden Powell) at The Shack in Anaheim, California this Friday, January 18th. To view a photo of Sneap in his lovely suit of armor, click here.
