PRIMAL FEAR Officially Confirmed For THE 2003 METAL GODS TOUR

PRIMAL FEAR have been officially confirmed for the upcoming The 2003 Metal Gods Tour, a multi-band package also featuring HALFORD, co-headliners TESTAMENT, IMMORTAL, CARNAL FORGE, PAINMUSEUM, and AMON AMARTH. PRIMAL FEAR, who will appear fourth on the bill, will be utilizing the services of ANNIHILATOR drummer Randy Black as a replacement for Klaus Sperrling, who is unable to make the tour for undisclosed reasons.

Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

Apr. 25 – Chicago, IL @ House of Blues, Chicago, IL
April 26 - Cleveland, OH @ The Agora
May 04 - Worcester, MA @ The Palladium
May 06 – Montreal, QUE @ Metropolis
May 11 - Philadelphia, PA @ Trocadero

As a result of PRIMAL FEAR's addition to The 2003 Metal Gods Tour, the group's previously announced "very special show" in Bochum, Germany on April 17 at the Matrix has to be rescheduled. "We apologize and we are sorry for our fans, but we have to concentrate on our US touring commitments now and we promise to reschedule this event after the festival season!" the band said in an official statement.

In other news, PRIMAL FEAR will release their long awaited DVD, "The History Of Fear", in late August, featuring their full Wacken 2001 performance, an October 2002 show filmed in Stuttgart, Germany on the "Black Sun" tour, plus a lot of concert and festival footage, all of the group's promo video clips, footage of their Brazilian tour (Dec. 2002), as well as hopefully some material from the forthcoming U.S. tour. The DVD is expected to have a running time of 140 minutes.
