PLATITUDE: In Mixing Mode

Swedish progressive power metal band PLATITUDE have finished recording their third full-length CD, "Silence Speaks". "We are all in Jailhouse Studios [in Denmark] mixing the last bits of the album," the band write on their web site. "We have been very busy recording the material for a little over a week now and it's almost finished. The pieces are coming together, the album will be both heavy and melodic. It sounds great!"

As previously reported, PLATITUDE recently parted ways with keyboardist Andreas Lindahl. Andreas left the group in order to "fully [concentrate] on his other projects, mainly LOCH VOSTOK as well as his session work with WUTHERING HEIGHTS and MANTICORA," according to a posting on the band's web site.

PLATITUDE's sophomore album, "Nine", was released in April 2004 through Italy's Scarlet Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Secrets of Life" was recorded at Jailhouse Studios with producer Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PRETTY MAIDS) and features cover artwork by Mattias Norén.
