PITCHSHIFTER To Skip ILL NIÑO Tour, Record Live Album

October 10, 2002

PITCHSHIFTER have officially confirmed that they have dropped off the forthcoming European tour with ILL NIÑO.

"PITCHSHIFTER are sad to announce that due to conflicting studio dates, they will no longer be able to go out with ILL NIÑO on the upcoming European tour," states a message on the group's official web site. "The band would like to take this opportunity to apologize to any fans this inconveniences, and also to ILL NIÑO and their fans."

Vocalist J.S Clayden commented: "We were trying to juggle tour and studio time, but in the end it was impossible to move the studio time, and so we regrettably had to decline the tour. We're really sorry for any fans this inconveniences, but it was sadly unavoidable."

In other news, PITCHSHIFTER will record the last four shows of their UK tour for an upcoming live album.

Said bassist Mark Clayden: "We've always wanted to release a live album and this tour is the perfect set up for that. The UK fans are the loudest and the maddest, and we can't wait to get into the studio to mix this down. If you're at any of the last four gigs, you'll be immortalized on CD. So get down there and get cheering!"
